Environmental declaration

The growing global environmental problems have led to a greater awareness with regard to questions of
the protection of the environment an nature, particularly in the last few years. At the UN Earth Summit,
Conference for the Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro in 1992 this ecological rethinking
was laid down in a statement pointing the way ahead:

"We all bear responsibility for this world"

FFT EDAG Produktionssysteme GmbH & Co. KG wishes in any case to make its contribution to the
protection of the environment. At FFT we acknowledge this responsibility and for this reason we want to
gain certification in accordance with environmental management DIN EN ISO 14001. We thereby want
to continually improve our corporate protection of the environment and to set a signal for our clients,
suppliers, employees as well as the interested public.

We understand corporate protection of the environment to include transparent presentation off all
materials existing in the company, from which a possible endangering of the environment could
emanate. This includes a total examination of the process existing in the company. This examination
starts alredy in the construction of our products and follows on in production through the assembly at
the client`s premises.

The management of the company is in a position to examine effects on the environment with greater
differentiation than was previously the case as a result of the introduction of an environment
management system.
Naturally our workforce has also been trained in environment management at all levels of the company
in order to achieve a better understanding of corporate and private protection of the environment.
