RPD 2D (Risley Prism Deflector) Detailed laser welding optics

The RPD 2D is a sophisticated, modular laser welding optic that can precisely direct laser light and is compatible with various laser sources thanks to its QD and QBH fiber connections. A special feature: the entire control system is integrated directly into the head, enabling the RPD 2D to execute predefined welding programs and regulate the laser power without requiring a permanent connection to an external computer.

Commissioning, implementation of welding positions, and process monitoring are conveniently carried out using the associated operating software, which is easily transferred to the device head.

The connections for the media system are located at the top of the head, effectively protecting them from contamination during welding. In addition, an integrated CrossJet ensures that the lens remains clean by reliably blowing particles away from the head. This ensures constant energy transfer and stable laser power.

Thanks to the standardized dovetail connection, the RPD 2D can be changed quickly and easily. Weighing only approx. 10 kg, it is particularly light and is also suitable for use on smaller, energy-efficient robot systems – ideal for flexible, automated production processes.

The FFTlasertec RPD 2D is a newly developed scanner that not only meets current market requirements but also offers a cost-effective and robust solution. It is designed as a completely stand-alone solution. The stand-alone solution enables particularly easy integration and makes the scanner ideal for flexible production concepts as well as standardized installations.

The RPD 2D is a modular laser welding optics system with a circular scan field of 160 mm. It is compatible with standard laser beam sources and does not require a separate control unit. A key feature is the compact crossjet with integrated process nozzles
