Adhesive is often used in the roller hemming process to protect against corrosion. If the adhesive leaks at the end of the seam joint, the seam rollers become dirty. How often the rollers need to be cleaned depends on the environment in which they are working. In an area with a lot of dust and dirt, the Roller Cleaner makes work easier.

Functional sequence of the FFThemtec Roller Cleaner Simple cleaning in 4 steps
Step 1
For the cleaning process, the robot moves with the hemming roller in front of the drive element.
Step 2
There are spring-loaded drivers on the drive element for turning the hemming roller.
Step 3
The motor rotates the carrier and the hemming roller.
Step 4
Moisten the hemming roller with a minimum amount of oil and remove the adhesive with a scraper.
FFThemtec Roller Cleaner Automatic cleaning for consistently high folding quality
The FFThemtec Roller Cleaner has been specially developed for use in roll-forming processes within the automotive industry. During the roll-forming process, adhesive is applied to provide corrosion protection. If this adhesive leaks out at the end of the roll-forming zone, it contaminates the roll-forming rollers, which in the long term compromises process quality and increases maintenance requirements.
With the FFThemtec Roller Cleaner cleans contaminated folding rollers fully automatically whilst production is in progress – without any downtime or manual intervention. This ensures that the rollers remain clean at all times, folding quality remains consistently high, and unplanned production stoppages are avoided.
