Modern lasers, augmented reality and self-operating productions – a look into the technology of today and tomorrow was offered at FFT´s large in-house exhibition on Thursday, September 15, 2022. In the interactive FFT ShowArea and in the technology area, up to 100 trade visitors were able to find out about products and new technologies. There is truly more behind FFT Produktionssysteme GmbH & Co. KG than many people realize, since our employees have long been involved in much more than just plant engineering.

The in-house exhibition took place over 4 days, during which current developments and products of the company could be examined. Each day was geared towards different visitor groups. On the first day of the in-house exhibition, FFT welcomed customers from the automotive industry. Among others, OEMs (original equipment manufactures) and system suppliers were represented at the fair. The second day was aimed at machine and plant manufactures. On this day, the different product families of FFT were introduced, which were presented in more than 14 exhibitions. Wednesday was aimed at companies without a direct link to the automotive industry. In addition to current topics on research and development at FFT, the advantages of automating production processes were explained. The versatility of the visitors was noteworthy. From manufactures of medical products to plastics producers to suppliers of hydraulic systems – the field of interest was very broad.

On Thursday – the regional day – all local companies were cordially invited to visit the in-house exhibition. On this day, the focus was on the presentation of FFT and its diverse capabilities. In addition, the importance of robots for the modern working world was discussed. Mr. Kraft has been working for the group for 31 years: „We want to make our plant operations simpler in the future“, he explained and added that the aim is to move away from specialists so that every team member can operate the systems.

A special highlight was the newly opened ShowArea, which was designed to let visitors experience FFT´s history, portfolio and expertise. Other technology areas, such as lightweight construction, folding and lasers also presented their know-how. In the area of lightweight construction, for example, the new product „FibreTec 3D“ was presented, which makes production processes energy-efficient.

The fair was well received by the trade visitors, reported Martin Kraft, Business Unit Manager Technology at FFT. Overall, he said, there was great interest in the very different fields in which the company is active. In total, more than 400 people visited the in-house exhibition from Monday to Thursday.
