Flexible, efficient and system-integral - a range of products and robots were presented in the FFT Group's new show area in Fulda, showcasing the company's expertise and technology areas. During his visit to Germany, Guangchang Guo, Chairman of the Fosun Group, to which FFT has belonged since 2019, came to see for himself and officially inaugurated the show area.
Tristan Pfurr, Managing Director of FFT Produktionssysteme, guided Guo and other representatives of the Fosun Group through the exhibition area. Various robots were shown interacting with each other. In the new ShowRoom with interactive control panel, the representatives learned about the company's innovations and products.
Overall, FFT has developed very well in recent years despite the difficulties caused by coronavirus, said the Managing Director. The company wants to manufacture its own products for sale with a growing portfolio and thus expand its opportunities to tap into new customer groups. The employees at the Technology Center in Fulda are working in particular on the development of virtual reality and artificial intelligence. As far as the vehicle market is concerned, many of FFT's customers are currently in a transition phase, says Pfurr. The company is happy to support the development towards electromobility.
Guo is impressed by the work of the FFT Group. He praised the excellent team that ensured the company's good development. “I have great confidence in German technology,” he said, referring to the market development in the coming years. The Fosun Group will continue to support the growth of FFT. In general, Fosun's goal is to help global companies and thus enable good products and services for customers. The investment goes into innovative products.
Johannes Strott, technical assistant to the management of FFT Produktionssysteme, explained that the exhibition included a demonstration of a production system. The focus is on interaction with the visitors. For example, robots are equipped with pens to make markings instead of using rigid production tools. The aim of the show area is to present solutions in the production process to other medium-sized companies. FFT is characterized by its system-integrated approach, for example in the combined use of different robot manufacturers in factory operations. “We have had large customers so far, but we want to integrate smaller ones,” explained Strott. FFT's work is characterized by flexibility and efficiency. The newer products include driverless transport systems, welding guns and machines for cleaning the rollers of folding tools
