FFT SHOWROOM
INAUGURATION OF THE SHOWROOM
PRESENTATION OF THE INTERACTIVE SHOWAREA AT FFT IN FULDA
Intelligent production systems of the future - this is how FFT Produktionssysteme GmbH & Co. KG in a nutshell. Digital services, pioneering manufacturing solutions and innovation in plant engineering - this is what FFT is known for worldwide. This is exactly what the new interactive showroom at the company headquarters in Fulda now brings to life.
ROBOTS AND AUGMENTED REALITY TO BE SEEN NEAR
The ShowArea, which opened in July 2022, is located within the 15,000 square meter production halls and consists of several rooms. The first highlight is a demonstrator of a fully automated production system consisting of several robots. Here, visitors can see FFT's own products and turnkey service in action. A driverless transport system moves components from one station to another and observes the groups of visitors in the area, a robot draws dots on a component with a permanent marker and at another station these are removed again intelligently and without pre-programmed movements by polishing. Next door is an AR/VR space that presents FFT's digital services, such as the virtual planning and commissioning of complex production processes and digital twins of systems. There is a spacious meeting room at the back.
FUTURISTICALLY DESIGNED SHOWROOM FOR PRODUCTION SYSTEMS
The core of the digital presentation is the showroom designed and interactively equipped by Garamantis. The room design is striking, with a white high-gloss floor and anthracite-colored, powder-coated walls and ceiling. The approximately 3,000 LED diodes installed in vertical strips are reflected here. The room control system activates each diode individually, creating the right lighting mood for each section of the presentation. Individually developed sounds carry the sound acoustically. They audibly underline the futuristic look.
STATE-OF-THE-ART MULTITOUCH TECHNOLOGY
The center of attention is a multi-touch scanner table from Garamantis, which is connected to a screen wall. Customers, investors and other guests of the company can immerse themselves in FFT's products and services on the interactive presentation table. Garamatis designed and developed the multi-touch interface just as individually as the showroom's content management and control system. The table and screen wall focus on FFT's technologies and company history. Innovations are "wiped" from the table onto the wall using a gesture and the many years of experience are scrolled through in an interactive timeline. Those wishing to delve deeper into technical details and product information can do so on a separate multi-touch screen at the back of the room.
TARGETED PROCESS AND DRAMATURGY
Every visit begins when you enter the futuristic presentation room. The showroom awakens as soon as the first visitors enter. The lighting mood and background sound, like in the Matrix, dominate the room until the first visitors approach the table. At this moment, the screen wall is also activated and displays a welcome message. Surprisingly, an impressive intro trailer about FFT starts, which gives an overview of the company's innovative strength in less than a minute and with more than one goosebump moment. This is followed by a non-linear multimedia presentation tailored to the respective group, which also interactively involves the guests.
HIGH PROFILE VISIT FROM CHINA AND A GOLDEN OUTLOOK
During his visit to Germany, none other than Guangchang Guo, Chairman of the Fosun Group, to which FFT also belongs, officially inaugurated the show area. The interactive type of B2B marketing in the manufacturing industry sets new standards and supports the innovative profile of FFT Produktionssysteme. Due to the very good response from the marketing and sales departments, as well as from the business customers themselves, the showroom is to be further expanded and used even more intensively in the coming year.
