FFTmetrology BeadControl Efficient adhesive seam inspection in industrial bonding processes

The quality of the adhesive application is a decisive factor for the tightness and durability of bonded components—especially when installing vehicle windows to ensure corrosion protection. The aim of FFT's adhesive seam inspection is to check the adhesive application with a high degree of reliability and to ensure correct application.

During the bonding process, defects such as gaps in the bead, insufficient adhesive volume, or incorrect positioning can occur. These defects jeopardize the functionality and safety of the end product and must therefore be detected at an early stage.

With FFTmetrology BeadControl, we offer a powerful, scanning 3D measurement system for optical detection of the adhesive application. The system precisely measures the position, width, and height of the adhesive bead, enabling continuous, automated process monitoring—directly in production.
