Our ShapeScan quality control is the umbrella term for our BeadControl and HemQC use cases. Both use cases check the length, width and height of geometries.

The FFTmetrology RGS system is used to guide the robot to a calculated ideal position rather than to a teached position. For this purpose, 2D or 2.5D images are first captured and calculated.

It is determined the deviations of the vehicle bodies in just one station. The result can then be used for optimization in the following stations. The condition is that the body positioning in each station is the same and stable.
FFTmetrology BeadControl
The FFTmetrology Bead Control scans the adhesive bead and precisely measures its position, width and height. The measurement takes place while the adhesive is being applied, thus avoiding a loss of cycle time.
FFTmetrology VisionCheckup
This system can be used to reliably check the placement of add-on elements and features, e.g. welding studs, holes, embossing, etc., so that missing or incorrectly placed parts are recognised immediately. It can be designed for 2D and 2.5D.
FFTmetrology Gap & Flush
FFTmetrology Gap & Flush is an automatic robot-based solution for stable measurement of gap and flush values.
For this application, the FFT VG DH (laser triangulation using a dual-head sensor) is ideal.
FFTmetrology HemQC
FFTmetrology HemQC inspects the quality of the folded edge during the roll folding process. This is a scanning procedure in which the width and height of the fold or the excess adhesive is measured.
FFTmetrology Pipeline Inspection Gauge (PIG)
The FFTmetrology Pipeline Inspection Gauge (PIG) is the solution for detecting small leaks with a leakage rate of ≥20l/h. It is available in various diameters (≥6") and meets all necessary TÜV requirements as well as the ATEX certification.
